Moravit in Moraira aan de Costa Blanca

Close to Andragó, restaurants and the Mediterranean

Moravit is one of Moraira’s most attractive residential areas for guests who want to combine the privacy of a villa with the coast, restaurants and everyday amenities close by. Located on the coastal side of Moraira, the neighbourhood stretches inland from the Mediterranean around Cala l’Andragó. Depending on the exact location of your villa, you may be able to walk to the beach, enjoy dinner beside the sea or reach a supermarket without always needing the car.
Moraira Holiday Homes currently offers three very different villas in Moravit: from a contemporary design villa with a large saltwater pool to a traditional Spanish home with panoramic sea views and a peaceful villa surrounded by a mature Mediterranean garden.

What is Moravit in Moraira?

Moravit is an established residential area on the coastal side of Moraira. The neighbourhood consists mainly of detached villas with private gardens and swimming pools. Streets close to the coast lead towards Cala l’Andragó, while the residential area gradually extends inland and becomes quieter and more elevated. This gives Moravit an interesting combination. You can stay in a peaceful villa with your own pool and garden, while beaches, restaurants and the Mediterranean remain relatively close.
For guests who want more freedom to walk to the coast than in some of Moraira’s hillier residential areas, Moravit can be an especially attractive choice.

Moravit and Andragó | what is the difference?

The names Moravit and Andragó are often used together, which can be confusing if you do not know Moraira.

Moravit is the wider residential area. Cala l’Andragó is the small rocky cove and coastal area on Moravit’s seaward side. Around Andragó you will find clear Mediterranean water, a coastal path and several places to stop for lunch, dinner or drinks overlooking the sea.

Villa Andrago and Villa Patricia are both particularly well positioned for this part of the coastline.
Villa Paraíso sits a little further inland in a quieter part of Moravit, while the nearest beach is still approximately 1 kilometre away.

Why choose a holiday villa in Moravit?

Rooftop bar Cabana by Mesa in Moraira

Close to the Mediterranean

The proximity to the coast is one of Moravit’s strongest advantages. From parts of the neighbourhood, Cala l’Andragó and other sections of Moraira’s coastline can be reached on foot.
This means your holiday does not necessarily have to revolve around getting into the car every time you want to see the sea. A morning swim, lunch beside the coast or an evening drink around Andragó can all become part of everyday holiday life.

Restaurants within easy reach

Moravit is particularly convenient if eating out is part of your holiday. Several restaurants and terraces are located around the Andragó coastline and along the main coastal road. From Villa Andrago and Villa Patricia, some of these can comfortably be reached on foot.
That is a significant advantage if you like the idea of going out for dinner without having to decide who is driving back afterwards.

Private villas and Mediterranean gardens

Despite being relatively close to the coast, Moravit is predominantly a residential villa area. That means you can still enjoy the things most guests choose a villa for:

  • your own private swimming pool;
  • private terraces;
  • a Mediterranean garden;
  • space around the property;
  • outdoor cooking and dining;
  • a greater sense of privacy.

The exact character varies enormously between the properties. Villa Andrago is contemporary and spacious, Villa Patricia has traditional Spanish character and Villa Paraíso is all about its Mediterranean garden and poolside outdoor living.

Sea views from elevated locations

Several parts of Moravit rise gently away from the coastline. This creates attractive sea views from many of the more elevated villas. Villa Andrago and Villa Patricia both offer panoramic Mediterranean views, while Villa Paraíso has sea views from one of its terraces. If the view is one of your main priorities, always check the individual accommodation page to see exactly where it can be enjoyed.

Close to Moraira town centre

Moravit also keeps Moraira itself within easy reach. Our Moravit villas are approximately 1.7 to 2.6 kilometres from the centre, depending on the property.
That makes it easy to combine a peaceful day beside your private pool with an evening in Moraira, visiting the marina, shops, restaurants or terraces.
For most guests, a car remains useful, particularly for shopping and exploring the wider Costa Blanca, but Moravit offers more opportunities to leave it parked than many residential areas further inland.

Cala l’Andragó

Cala l’Andragó is one of the places that gives Moravit its distinctive character. It is a small rocky Mediterranean cove rather than a traditional sandy beach.

The clear water makes it popular for swimming and snorkelling, while the surrounding coastal area is particularly enjoyable for walking, eating and having a drink beside the sea. If you prefer a large sandy beach, Moraira’s L’Ampolla beach is closer to the town centre. But Andragó has a very different atmosphere: smaller, more Mediterranean and particularly attractive around the end of the afternoon and evening.

For guests staying at Villa Andrago or Villa Patricia, having this coastal area within walking distance is one of the main reasons to choose the property.

Is Moravit suitable without a car?

Car rental in Moraira by Moraira holiday homes

Possibly, but it depends very much on the villa and how you plan to spend your holiday. From Villa Andrago and Villa Patricia, you can walk to Andragó and several nearby restaurants.

Villa Paraíso also has a supermarket, restaurant and beach relatively close by. However, Moravit is not completely flat and some residential streets slope away from the coastline.

Moraira town centre is also between approximately 1.7 and 2.6 kilometres from our villas. For that reason, we generally still recommend having a car, particularly if you want to:

  • do larger grocery shops;
  • visit several different beaches;
  • explore Benissa Costa;
  • visit Calpe, Jávea or Altea;
  • travel comfortably with younger children.

But compared with many villas in the hills around Moraira, Moravit gives you far more opportunities to leave the car at home for part of the day.

Villa Andrago

Modern Mediterranean design | Sleeps 8 | Saltwater pool | Walk to Andragó
Villa Andrago is the most contemporary villa in our Moravit collection. The property combines modern Mediterranean architecture with approximately 240 m² of living space, 4 spacious bedrooms and a beautifully landscaped garden. Its large 10 × 5 metre saltwater pool is one of the largest in our collection. The bedrooms are located on the ground floor, while the living room, kitchen and covered upper terrace enjoy panoramic views across the Mediterranean. Cala l’Andragó is approximately 450 metres away and the nearest restaurant around 250 metres.
Best for: modern design, 8 guests, panoramic sea views and walking to Andragó.

Villa Patricia

Traditional Spanish character | Sleeps 6–8 | Panoramic sea views | Walk to Andragó
Villa Patricia offers a completely different atmosphere. Traditional Spanish arches, a Mediterranean garden, private swimming pool and panoramic views across the sea give the villa the character many guests associate with a classic holiday in Spain. The villa is normally rented for 6 guests, with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on the main living level. For groups of 7 or 8 guests, an additional bedroom with its own bathroom can be added on the lower level. Andragó beach is approximately 550 metres away, while Moraira town centre is around 1.7 kilometres from the villa.
Best for: traditional Spanish atmosphere, flexible groups of 6–8 guests, sea views and coastal location.

Villa Paraíso

Mediterranean garden | Sleeps 5 | Private pool | Outdoor kitchen
Villa Paraíso is the smallest of our three Moravit villas and perhaps the most focused on relaxed outdoor living. The private pool sits in a mature, fully enclosed Mediterranean garden with palm trees and olive trees. Directly beside the pool is a large covered lounge area and outdoor kitchen, creating a wonderfully private setting for long days outside. After a few access steps, the main accommodation is arranged on one level. The nearest beach is approximately 1 kilometre away, the supermarket around 700 metres and the nearest restaurant approximately 650 metres.
Best for: privacy, Mediterranean garden, outdoor living and groups of up to 5 guests.

Which Moravit villa is right for you?

For modern design

Choose Villa Andrago
Its architecture, large bedrooms, landscaped garden, saltwater pool and panoramic upper terrace give it a distinctly contemporary Mediterranean character.

For traditional Spanish charm

Choose Villa Patricia
The arches, covered terrace, established garden and panoramic sea views create a much more traditional Spanish atmosphere.

For privacy and garden living

Choose Villa Paraíso
Its mature Mediterranean garden, private pool, covered lounge and outdoor kitchen make outdoor living the main attraction.

For up to 8 guests

Both Villa Andrago and Villa Patricia can accommodate up to 8 guests. Andrago has 4 permanent bedrooms of a similar high standard.
Patricia has a flexible layout and normally accommodates 6 guests, with an additional fourth bedroom and bathroom available for groups of 7 or 8.

For walking to Andragó

Villa Andrago and Villa Patricia are the strongest choices. Both put Cala l’Andragó and nearby restaurants within comfortable walking distance.

For the largest private pool

Villa Andrago has an approximately 10 × 5 metre saltwater pool. If having plenty of swimming space is high on your wish list, this is the obvious choice within Moravit.

Moravit or another area of Moraira?

Moravit

Best for: Andragó, restaurants, sea views and coastal living.
Advantages:
close to the coastline; several restaurants nearby; some villas within walking distance of Andragó; panoramic sea-view options; relatively close to Moraira centre.
Consider:
the area is not completely flat; walking distances differ significantly between properties.

San Jaime

Best for: peace, golf and larger choice of villas.
San Jaime is generally more residential and sits further away from the coastline. Club de Golf Ifach is one of its defining features and we offer a larger collection of villas there.
If golf, peace or a broad choice of villas matters more than walking to the coast, San Jaime may suit you better.
